FUTUR ENVIE

FUTUR ENVIE, a micro-farm of the future specialising in mixed farming and sheep rearing (of a protected Belgian breed), where we work with heritage and local cereal varieties. Our aim is to highlight the cereal-growing tradition of the farmers who have shaped our history, to keep this cultural heritage alive, and to showcase biodiversity through these grasses, which have formed the basis of our diet since time immemorial. 

It is driven by a deep interest in the cultural heritage that is “our” ancient cereals that we are committed to re-developing and re-popularising rye, our wheat (and by extension, our millet 😉).

So this year we will be highlighting bunches of dried cereals, flour, snack packs, and millet, ….

Not forgetting of course our ollas, an autonomous and ecological means of irrigation, which also highlights the pottery tradition—this time—that is so dear to us (indeed, we are convinced that tomorrow's solutions are to be found in traditions).

When buried, these ollas enable significant water savings (of up to 70%), thereby helping to protect this common resource that is so precious to the survival of humanity. ”
