Ferdinandushof

Ferdinandushof Nursery specialises primarily in growing unusual perennial plants. Among their top varieties are numerous types of Dahlia. A wide range of special plants is offered, grown in the traditional way. Their selection of long-flowering perennials is ideally suited as a basis for creating exclusive border designs. They already have several of their own selections to their name. In addition, there is also a range of hardy exotics. Wilko has a soft spot for Eucalyptus and maintains a very extensive collection of them at the nursery, which has been landscaped as a tropical garden – quite remarkable in our climate.

Many cultivated perennial plant species include Helleborus, Astrantia (proprietary selections), Geranium, Persicaria and, last but not least, hardy Fuchsias. Besides Fuchsia magellanica, they have many other species, mostly small-flowered and hardy! Other examples of hardy exotic plants are palms, Eucalyptus, ginger varieties and Yucca.

This range of long-flowering perennials is the ideal basis for creating exclusive border designs. On the occasion of the Triennial in Apeldoorn in 2009, Wilko and Helen created a stunning border that received much international acclaim.
