The Flemish Bee Institute is the leading organisation dealing with pollinators in Flanders.

Their goal is to improve biodiversity in Flanders for all pollinators. They cherish both the honeybee and solitary bees.

They also act as an umbrella organisation for beekeepers and represent this sector to the various authorities.

As an institute, the training of beekeepers is high on their agenda. The Flemish Bee Institute is the sector's only training centre that carries the QFOR quality label for education.

Have their own health programme for honey bees in collaboration with various universities at home and abroad.

They are also strongly active in the deployment of new technologies for monitoring bee health as well as for combating threats to bees.

The Flemish Bee Institute has its own video channel for beekeepers, which is accessible to beekeepers via the VBI Intranet.
