Kasteel Hex How to reach Hex Hex is situated in the village of Heks in the commune of Heers, in the south of the Belgian province of Limbourg, half-way between Liège and Maastricht (in the triangle Tongeren, Borgloon, Oreye) and is accessible via: 1. Highway E40, Brussels-Liège/Luik, exit 29 (Waremme/Tongres), direction Tongres/Tongeren; Heks is indicated on the old Roman way from Oreye to Tongeren. 2. Highway E313, Antwerp-Liège/Luik, exit 29 (Hasselt Oost/Kortessem) direction Tongeren, at Kortessem follow Borgloon, at Borgloon direction Heers; on the road to Heers, Heks is indicated.
CONDITIONS FOR A VISIT TO HEX GARDENS AND PARK Guided visits for groups only, upon written request, from April to July and September/October. Apart from group visits, the gardens are open to the public every year on the 2nd weekend of June and of September. Guided visits to the gardens and the park can be arranged on working days from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 to 5 p.m. A visit takes approximately 1,5 to 2 hours. Some days before an open weekend, the gardens cannot be visited; in July visits are allowed only in the morning. The entrance fee amounts to EUR 10,00 p.p., with a minimum of EUR 200,00 per group. The maximum number of participants per group can be 35; groups exceeding 35 people will be split up into 2 groups and the above mentionned conditions are applicable. Bookings are firm after payment of EUR 200,00 per group on account. A list of participants is required at least 2 weeks prior to the visit. Written cancellations are possible with a 2 week notice before the visit. Cancellations within 2 weeks prior to the visit will be charged eur 200,00. Groups arriving late run a risk that the visit might be shortened or that the guide might have gone; nevertheless the same cancellation fee of EUR 200,00 is due in that case. Bookings should be made at least one month in advance, if possible. Dogs are not allowed. |
