The vegetable garden, which has been laid out in the 18th century, is still providing fruit and vegetables for the household the wole year round. Box hedges line the paths like in the old days, though some alleys have been widened to allow the access for larger machinery. There is cellar where vegetables are kept in the winter like in the older days.

Festival of rare plants, roses & kitchen gardens
Every year, on the second weekend of September the gardens are open to the public. Specialist nurseries, many holding national collections, put their best products for sale. At the same time the public can attend exhibitions, demonstrations and lectures by professionals from Belgium and abroad on the most interesting subjects.
